I worked in the restaurant business making local Hawaiian delicacies like poke, spam sushi, haupia, and lomi salmon.

In my early college years, I was an Introvert = Engineer, when I graduated I became an extrovert = sales relationships. Two different traits that I feel have strengthened my Realtor career.
In What Ways Are You Involved in Your Community?
I’ve grown into the Stapleton Community not just through real estate, but now my kids are in school. I’ve spearheaded a shoe drive, in the neighborhood, sponsored softball teams, and navigating my way into the PTA.
Who Inspires You?
My wife and two boys. I want to be present in the moment while building a legacy, so they can have every opportunity to be happy and healthy as they grow into kids and young adults.
What Is Your Proudest Accomplishment and Why?
I’ve reached some goals in my life and business, but I think my proudest accomplishments are still to come, my boys are so young and I want to support and raise them to watch them accomplish their goals.
How Do You Define Success?
Living a comfortable life with no financial stresses and plenty of time for family. Being equipped with tools and finances to make choices that allow growth, and never saying money or work is an excuse to not living or experiencing life.
What Career Path Would You Have Chosen If You Didn’t Become a Real Estate Broker?
My previous career path as a Civil Engineer had a purposeful impact building Denver’s infrastructure, stadiums, airports, highways, and trains. But my real estate career has built more personal relationships which are much more rewarding.
If You Could Master Any Skill That You Don’t Currently Have, What Would It Be and Why?
My golf swing. I could enjoy all the beautiful golf courses from Hawaii to Colorado. I could be present and develop stronger relationships with my foursome. Maybe if I mastered my swing I could win some wagers for beer!
What Is the Most Adventurous Thing You’ve Ever Done?
Traveled the world – Asia and Europe with no reservations, a plane ticket, and a desire for adventure.
If You Could Have Dinner with Anyone, Who Would It Be and Why?
Barack Obama – I would love to learn about all the barriers he overcame to become President. His early years in Hawaii, to college on the east coast, meeting his Michelle, his career, and two kids. Denver primary (rock star party scene) Not really interested in any of the politics.
What Is Your Favorite Family Tradition?
Currently it is a group, we do a winter extravaganza. It starts with Thanksgiving, Hannukah, Christmas, my first son’s birthday and then my second son’s birthday on Jan 11th. Presents everywhere and ethnic food to feed everyone.
What’s the Best Concert You’ve Ever Been To? What Made It So Special?
Jack Johnson at Red Rocks. Combining the two places I call home in one summer evening. The tailgating was perfect with Colorado beers and friends jamming on the ukulele. Live music, singing all the lyrics and clear starry night. A bonus was there were no crying babies, it was out first date night after new born!
If You Could Live in A Book, TV Show, Or Movie What Would It Be and Why?
Fixer Upper but with a landlord twist. I like to work with my hands. I’ve been fixing things or attempting to make them more efficient all my life. The design ideas in the show are amazing and I would love to apply this to my rental/landlord portfolio. Hoping to grow to 10 doors in 5 years to help with the residual income.
