Colorado State Fair

This year, the Colorado State Fair kicks off its 145th annual celebration with more rides, food, competitions, prizes, music, and dancing than ever! Festivals goers may even have to make multiple trips to take in all that the fair has to offer. Parade of Homes

The Parade of Homes, the hallmark event hosted by the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver (HBA), returns this summer for its 32nd year. Your home showcase summer tradition, the Parade of Homes is your go-to local home show and design houses tour. Go where and when you want and discover more than 60 newly designed model homes, custom homes, and luxury “Dream Homes” located in neighborhoods throughout the greater Denver metropolitan area. This free event is a wonderful opportunity for potential home buyers and anyone interested in home remodeling and design to get new ideas and inspiration.

Denver Tattoo Arts Convention

When: September 1st – 3rd
Where: Colorado Convention Center
Cost: $20 – day pass / $40 – 3 day pass

The sprawling exhibition has made over two decades of annual appearances nationwide. Among hundreds of internationally renowned tattoo artists are also unique vendors peddling rare and unusual merch for subculture enthusiasts and tattoo art collectors. The Convention traditionally includes a number of appearances by celebrities from movies and reality-TV tattoo competitions, like Ink Master, Best Ink, and Tattoo Nightmares. Visiting artist seminars for professionals in the tattoo industry are also a feature at the shows, and include topics on social media/marketing, technical tattoo application techniques for working artists, and Q & A’s with longtime tattooers and legends in the business. 

A Taste of Colorado

More than 50 of Coloradoans’ favorite restaurants and food establishments will gather at the Taste, featuring small portions to full meals. Enjoy carnival rides, games, play equipment, a great variety of free, hands-on craft activities, plus plenty of music, magic, clowns and puppets on KidzStage! Find unique arts and crafts, home and gift items, furniture, jewelry, imports, and more, in over 275 booths of the Arts & Crafts Marketplace.

Bracketnationals / Pure Stock Shootout 

When: September 1st – 4th
Where: Bandimere Speedway
Cost: Varies by Day

This is a quarter-mile dragstrip, where racers can get reach speeds of up to 320 mph, and is also known as Thunder Mountain. That gives you an idea of what to expect when you see these speedsters. Get your engines revving and your heart pumping this Labor Day Weekend!

Thunder in the Rockies Bike Rally

Thunder in the Rockies in Loveland will be going all weekend, Friday, September 2 – Monday, September 5. Thunder Mountain Harley-Davidson will be packed with over 100 food, drink, and merchandise vendors. Entertainment will include local and national bands, Harley-Davidson’s demo fleet, Miss Thunder in the Rockies Contest, and much more. The vendors and general admittance are free, but special events require tickets. 

The Rocky Mountain Showdown

Third Annual Brews and Views Fest

Denver Art Museum Free First Saturday
