Blossoms of Light

Denver Botanic Gardens proudly hosts this annual family-friendly event that has become a tradition. This annual holiday light extravaganza features some new elements, and includes the grand illuminated O’Fallon Perennial Walk and the Romantic Gardens.

Head to Chatfield Farms to see colorful holiday lights illuminate a winding path through the Colorado countryside, set against a stunning foothills backdrop. This annual rustic holiday lights extravaganza includes past favorites as well as new lighting elements.

9News Parade of Lights

When: December 2nd & December 3rd
Where: Downtown Denver
Cost: Free

A Holiday tradition in Downtown Denver! Join 9NEWS for the Parade of Lights that will feature marching bands, ornate floats, and of course a special appearance by Major Waddles and Santa! Grab your hot chocolate and ear-muffs, this year is going to be better than ever!

Denver Zoo Lights

When: December 2nd – January 1st
Where: Denver Zoo
Cost: varies based on date

Zoo Lights will span through 70 acres of Denver Zoo’s campus, with nightly entertainment, animal encounters, Santa meet-and-greets, and illuminated animal sculptures that swing through trees, jump across lawns, hide in bushes, and appear in places where they’re least expected.

Denver ChristKindl Market

Where: Skyline Park, 16th Street Mall

What can you find at the Denver Christkindl Market? Music, beer, and Gluehwein (mulled wine), entertainment, gifts, crafts, and of course holiday spirit! Vendors from all over Europe and Colorado are invited to share their unique wares with Denver – so be sure to head down to Colorado’s only authentic Christkindl market!


The Denver Flea: Holiday Flea

When: December 2nd – December 4th
Where: Sports Castle at 1000 Broadway

The Holiday Flea is your one-stop shop for merriment, locally made goods, crafts, drinks, and more! Join the 11th pop-up marketplace and 3rd annual Holiday Flea this December 2nd, 3rd, and 4th inside the iconic former Sports Castle building at 1000 Broadway Street.

55th Annual Georgetown Christmas Market

When: December 5th – December 13th
Where: Downtown Georgetown, Colorado

Each December the town of Georgetown transforms for two weekends into a bustling Christmas scene reminiscent of Christmas of long ago. Come enjoy appearances by St. Nicholas in his traditional dress and the daily procession of the Santa Lucia, as well as carolers in Victorian costume, dancers, and other family entertainment.

The Nutcracker

Colorado Ballet’s 56th annual production of The Nutcracker will feature more than 300 costumes, 31 Company dancers, 25 Studio Company dancers, 76 Academy dancers, scenery by José Varona, and timeless choreography paired with Tchaikovsky’s extraordinary arrangement performed live by the Colorado Ballet Orchestra.

Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer: The Musical

12 Days of Aspen

When: December 20th – December 31st
Where: Aspen, Colorado

Over the holidays, Aspen is transformed into a Winter Wonderland. During the 12 Days of Aspen, Aspen comes alive with everything from free ice skating, holiday treats, and carolers. Even Santa joins in the celebration! To top it all off, join us in celebrating New Year’s Eve with fireworks over Aspen Mountain.

Ullr Fest: Breckenridge

When: Januray 11th – January 14th
Where: Breckenridge, Colorado

Ullr Fest celebrates 54 years this January and Breckenridge invites snow lovers of all ages to join the party. During Ullr Fest in Breckenridge, don’t be surprised to see horned Viking hats adorning the heads of skiers and snowboarders, Ullympic competitors flinging frying pans for prizes, more than 12,000 Ullr enthusiasts filling the streets for the Ullr Parade, and crazy float participants skiing off jumps on Main Street or gliding along town in a hot tub. X-Games Aspen

When: January 26th – January 29th
Where: Aspen, Colorado

X Games returns to Aspen, Colorado’s Buttermilk Mountain for the world’s best action sports, music, and festival experience — on snow! All sport competitions are free and open to the public. All musical performances will take place at the stage at Buttermilk Mountain. Live coverage of the event will air on ESPN and ABC.

Winter Dew Tour Breckenridge

When: December 8th – December 11th
Where: Breckenridge, Colorado

Dew Tour will return to Breckenridge with a newly revamped winter ski and snowboard competition. The top ski and snowboard athletes in the world will be taking over Breckenridge Ski Resort’s famed Freeway Terrain Park to put the new courses to the test in both individual slopestyle and pipe competitions as well as compete alongside teammates in the new team challenge.
