Josh’s real estate career began in property management in 2000 in Boulder. Josh continued in the Vail Valley area, where he managed more than $100 million in mountain properties. Josh eventually moved back to Denver to continue his real estate career. In 2012, he launched his own real estate brokerage, Steck Real Estate, before joining Kentwood Real Estate in 2020.

Josh takes the time to guide his clients with his expertise in buying and selling multi-unit rental properties and residential real estate. He prides himself on building long-lasting professional relationships. Over his career, Josh has sold an average of $30 million to $40 million annually, which puts him in the top 1% of Denver real estate agents. Josh has earned more than $200 million in career volume overall.

Josh has won multiple awards in his career, including the Denver Metro Association of Realtors Excellence Award (DMAR) as a Platinum and Titanium Agent. DMAR is the largest Realtor Association in Colorado, with over 7,000 members.

Josh differentiates himself by capitalizing on his knowledge of the Denver Metro rental market. Josh maintains extensive knowledge of Denver’s multi-unit rental inventory and a deep understanding of the property management aspect of owning a rental property. Josh also proves himself as a thought leader when it comes to strategies for rental property investment.

Josh advocates for nonprofit organizations, including Rotary International, where he received recognition as a Paul Harris Fellow. Josh also supports Nexus International and serves on the board of the Downing House Foundation. Josh’s wife, Carlee, leads Denver’s Santa Claus Workshop every year, which Josh also supports.
Josh and his wife live in Cherry Hills Village with their three young children: son Parker (6), son Carson (4), and daughter Noelle (2). Josh loves all Colorado has to offer when it comes to outdoor activities, such as fishing, biking and skiing. He also volunteers his time coaching his children’s various sports teams.
